    Response to an arrest of an acting senior manager on allegations of corruption
    Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality acknowledges the recent arrest of one of its acting senior managers by the hawks on Thursday morning; on allegations of corruption related to his previous employment.
    It is imperative to emphasize that the alleged misconduct occurred during the employment with his previous employer and does not involve his duties or responsibilities within the Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality. However, the municipality does understand the importance of maintaining public trust and confidence in our organization.
    The Municipal Manager; Mr Lekgetho Mokgatlhe has reacted to the incident by assuring the public that the services at the technical department will not be hampered and the municipality will continue to uphold the values of transparency, accountability, and integrity in all its endeavors.
    “In light of these developments, we need to assure the community that the operations of the technical services department will continue without interruption. We are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and professionalism in all aspects of our municipal services. Furthermore; the municipality remains steadfast in its dedication to serving the best interests of our residents and stakeholders. It is also important to highlight that the recruitment process for a substantive director for technical services department is at an advanced stage. We will closely monitor the progress of the investigation and will take appropriate action based on its findings. As this is an ongoing legal matter, we will refrain from making further comments at this time. We appreciate the understanding and support of our community as we work through this situation”, says Mokgatlhe.
