Ramotshere Moiloa accelerate service delivery at Mmasebudule
Mmasebudule village is one of the most rural villages in Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality which falls in ward 17 under Cllr Dingaan Seakentoa. As part of accelerating service delivery; a sod turning for the new internal road was conducted recently. A contractor was introduced by Mayor Dina Pitso to the traditional council and ward councillor. The project is expected to change the Mmasebudule gravel road of 2 kilometres from gravel to a paved road.
In welcoming the project; councillor Seakentoa applauded the municipality for bringing the much-awaited service to the community and pleaded with the traditional council to work together and support the contractor in order for him to complete his job in time.
“My elders, this is what we have been waiting for, and it’s been long time coming. Let us thank our mayor to introduce this project and pray for more to come. Our contractor is willing to do everything diligently and professionally, so let us just support him so that we can all be satisfied at the end of the project”, said an excited councillor.
Mayor Cllr Dina Pitso was so delighted to introduce one of the skilful contracts who is well equipped with infrastructural machinery. It is envisaged that the project will be completed in the next three months. “Good things come to those who wait, we all know that this is not enough but let just us hope that we will come back again. It is our responsibility to implement our Intergraded Development Plan (IDP) fully. I would also like to encourage public participation on IDP because your voices will be heard through the needs that you submit and will be budgeted for and implemented. The contractor is here, so let us not distract progress and allow him to do what he has been appointed to do”, said the mayor.
